Ghattas Bathhouse  is a boutique Hammam - unique and personal. It provides a private experience of the highest standards, with an emphasis on the quality of treatments, facilities, services and hygiene.

In view of the way our reservations work, and in order to avoid unpleasantness, it is important for us to present our guests with a clear and comprehensive set of policies. The purpose of these policies is to explain the expected etiquette and conduct while at the hammam, in order to help us keep you and other guests safe and satisfied.

General

  • Entry to the hammam is for persons 18 years of age and older. Any guests under 18 years of age require adult supervision and consent to receive treatments.

  • Entry to the hammam is conditional on filling out a health declaration form.

  • Please plan to arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your reservation.

  • The use of the hammam facilities is for those in good health.

  • Entry for pregnant women is prohibited, and is not recommended for those who are in the process of conceiving.

  • Contact lenses must be removed before entering the hammam.

  • Admission is prohibited for those who have undergone laser hair removal treatments two weeks prior to the date of the reservation.

  • Entry is prohibited for those with sunburn/irritated skin due to prolonged exposure to the sun (tanning).

  • It is not recommended to drink alcohol and eat heavy meals before your treatment.

  • The personal belongings are the sole responsibility of our guests. Please avoid entering the hammam with jewelry and valuables. Management is not responsible for damage and/or loss or theft of objects and valuables in the hammam, including objects stored in the storage compartments.

  • Do not bring food, prohibited substances, liquor, animals or weapons into the hammam.

  • Do not eat in the hammam area (drinking water and soft drinks is allowed in disposable cups).

  • The introduction of glass bottles or glassware into the hammam is strictly prohibited.

  • Security cameras are installed in the reception lobby and in the entrance yard for security and public order purposes.

  • There are wardrobes that include showers, toilets and compartments for changing clothes and storing belongings.

 

Hammam Etiquette

  • Swimwear (bathing suit) must be worn in the hammam. It is strictly forbidden to be naked.

  • Smoking is strictly forbidden in all areas of the hammam, except for the designated smoking area.

  • Guests are expected to behave politely, respectfully and in a courteous manner, and in a way that does not disturb, harm, insult and/or be a nuisance to other guests or staff members.

  • Guests are required to follow and comply with the instructions, rules and regulations set forth by law and/or distributed by the hammam management from time to time, including through signage in the hammam.

  • Please make efficient and considerate use of the water taps in the hammam. Do not leave water taps open after filling the sinks.

  • The hammam management reserves the right to prevent entry to guests who act and/or have acted in the past in violation of our policies and/or the law and/or behaved inappropriately and/or caused any physical damage to persons and/or property and/or did anything to harm the business and/or its reputation.

 

 

Safety

  • The hammam floor is wet and requires independent mobility and basic balance. Precautions must be taken due to the danger of slipping.

  • Please wear slippers, use a handrail and avoid running or walking fast in the hammam.

  • The hammam is humid and the saunas are hot, which may affect guests with high or low blood pressure.

  • It is forbidden to enter the dry sauna with metal objects such as jewelry and the like.

  • Do not touch or place clothes, towels and objects on the stove in a dry sauna.

  • Please move carefully in the wet sauna due to limited visibility and the risk of slipping.

  • Immerse in a jacuzzi up to the chin, do not immerse your head in the water.

  • A stay in the jacuzzi is recommended for up to 20 minutes.

  • Children up to the age of 16 are allowed to enter the Jacuzzi, the dry sauna and the wet sauna only when accompanied by an adult.

Orders and Payments

  • It is recommended to book a week in advance for midweek days, and three weeks in advance for weekends.

  • To make a reservation, please provide: full name, valid credit card details, ID number and telephone number (credit card details are required to confirm your reservation).

  • You can pay in cash and credit cards (Isracard, Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Diners Club).

  • By default and except in special circumstances, treatments are performed by a male and a female massage therapists for each reservation. You can request two male or two female massage therapists for your reservation (48 hours in advance), and we will do our best to make the arrangement when possible.

  • Every reservation ends on time, so as not to delay the guests of the next reservation. No extra time and/or discounts are given due to late arrival.

Cancellation Policy

In case of any cancellation or change in your reservation, please update us:

  • Up to 24 hours before your reservation time - by phone: +972-4-6897462 only.

  • Up to 48 hours before your reservation time - by email: info@Ghattasbath.com or by phone: +972-4-6897462

  • Cancellations or changes via SMS message will not be accepted.

  • Cancellation without prior notice will be charged a fee of 100 NIS for each guest in your reservation.

 

Gift Certificates (Vouchers)

  • Purchase of gift certificates is conditional on actual payment.

  • Gift certificates are sold by name and are not transferable without coordination and prior approval.

  • Validity of gift certificates is up to six months from the date of purchase and/or in accordance with the inscription on the voucher.

  • Voucher holders are required to make a reservation.

  • The voucher number must be provided when making your reservation.

  • The voucher must be presented on the day of the reservation for it to be redeemed.

  • It is not possible to redeem a gift voucher more than once.

  • Cancellation or changes in reservations without prior notice (in accordance with the above cancellation policy), cancels the gift voucher.

 

 

Various

  • The management of the hammam reserves the right to change and/or update and/or establish new policies, from time to time, at its sole discretion, and without the need for consent and/or prior notice.

  • In the event of a conflict and/or inconsistency between our policies and any publication and/or oral statement, our policies prevail.

  • The prices of the treatments are in accordance with the price list published on the hammam website only. In the event of a conflict, the prices published on this website prevail.
